Jesus, there’s something about that name. When life is good and my heart is light, it is a response, a thank you.
When I carry a heavy load, I’m bogged down with cares, stumbling and tired, I call it and it is strength.
On lonely nights when my soul cries in pain and I weep in my pillow, yearning for someone to understand, it is comfort.
When I’m scared, my world hanging precariously, my body tense, afraid to more, it is trust.
When things don’t make sense and I don’t understand and I wonder what’s next, it is peace.
Jesus, that wonderful name – above all names.
What an anchor in life’s ocean. I can sail securely, knowing I am fastened to the Rock.
