As July 4th approaches, our thoughts turn to parties and bar-be-ques. We celebrate our freedom and rightfully so. Freedom is a wonderful thing. Our thoughts also go to the people who fought, some who even gave their lives so we could be free. There was a huge price paid so the rest of us can be free.
My thoughts turned to another scene where blood was shed to purchase freedom.
Our dear Lord Jesus suffered and he too paid the ultimate price to give us freedom. Freedom from sin and death. The Bible says, “If the Son sets you free, you are truly free.
At this time of year, let’s be thankful for those who suffered and served to give freedom but let’s also take a moment to say Thank You to the one who really set us free.
